The Don Bosco ITI Dasara celebration in 2023 was a grand affair was celebrated on 23rd October 2023. Morning hours trainees cleaned their workshops, labs ,machineries and performed the pooja as a traditional practice.

The celebration commenced with the traditional lighting of diyas by the female faculties of DBITI Rows of beautifully decorated oil lamps were lit, casting a warm, enchanting glow throughout the venue. Following the diya lighting, a solemn prayer service took place. The scripture from various holy books like, Gita, Koran and Bible  were read by the trainees which echoed the message victory of good over evil .A melodious prayer song was performed by a group staff members. The song's soothing tunes and meaningful lyrics resonated with the attendees, evoking a sense of spirituality and unity. The song added a deep, soulful dimension to the celebration. An informative audio-visual presentation was showcased, illustrating the significance of Dasara and its underlying message. The presentation elucidated the triumph of good over evil, the historical and cultural importance of the festival, and the values it upholds. The visuals were complemented by a narrative that explained the various aspects of the celebration.

A key highlight of the event was a special message delivered by Mr. Edmund Anthony. He expressed their heartfelt wishes for the festival, emphasizing the importance of unity, compassion, and the triumph of good over evil in our daily lives. A unique and fascinating aspect of the celebration was the "Pooja of Tools." Various tools and instruments were arranged, and a special ritual was performed to honor them. This tradition symbolized the importance of tools in our daily lives and expressed gratitude for their utility.

Rev. Fr Anthony Pinto Rector&Director of the event delivered a thoughtful and inspiring speech. They emphasized the festival's significance and the timeless values it promotes, with an example of recent unrest in world. The Rector's words encouraged attendees to carry forward the spirit of Dasara in their lives and communities.

Mr. Amarr Prabhu Principal of DBITI announced the results of the latest elections held for the posts of Trainee and assistant trainee representatives’ Mst. Singh Piyush from 2nd year Fitter was elected as Trainee Representative , Mst. Dion Pereira & Mst. Pradeep Epili from 1st year electronics were elected as Assistant trainee representatives’ for the academic year 2023-2024    A heartfelt vote of thanks was given by Sir Mahesh Sawant Group Instructor DBITI, expressing gratitude to all participants, sponsors, and volunteers who made the celebration a success. It highlighted the importance of teamwork and unity in organizing such events.

To conclude the festivities, an energetic Garba dance was organized. Trainees and Staff, joined in the dance, forming circles and dancing to traditional folk music. The Garba dance created a sense of camaraderie and added a lively and festive element to the celebration.

The 2023 Dasara celebration of DBITI was a beautiful amalgamation of traditions, spirituality, and unity. Each component, from diya lighting to the Garba dance, contributed to an evening of joy and cultural enrichment. The event's emphasis on values such as unity, good prevailing over evil, and gratitude made it a memorable and meaningful experience for all who attended.
