"Illuminate the Spirit, Embrace the Diversity: Diwali 2023"

The Diwali program of Don Bosco ITI, Kurla held on 11th November 2023 was a spectacular event that brought together the spirit of joy, unity, and cultural diversity. The evening commenced with a warm welcome by the host, setting the tone for an evening filled with festivities.

The program began with a soulful prayer service, marked by the traditional lighting of the lamp. This symbolic act not only illuminated the venue but also reflected the essence of Diwali - the triumph of light over darkness. The ambiance was enhanced by beautiful decorations, including intricate rangoli designs, creating an atmosphere of spiritual significance and cultural richness.

The prayer service continued with readings from sacred scriptures, representing the unity of different faiths. Passages from the Bhagavad Gita, Bible, Quran, and Dhammapada were recited, emphasizing the universal values of love, peace, and harmony.

Following the prayer service, the audience was treated to a diverse array of performances. Trainees took the stage to share their talents through speeches, dance, and singing. The Vice Rector Rev.Fr.Brian Moras addressed the gathering, highlighting the importance of peace and unity in our lives, and encouraging everyone to embrace the spirit of Diwali.

The cultural performances added vibrancy to the celebration, showcasing the rich traditions of the participants. The trainees' dance and singing performances were met with enthusiastic applause, demonstrating the talent and diversity within the community.

A highlight of the evening was a ramp walk featuring both trainees and staff, who showcased the trade specific and traditional attire. This segment celebrated the cultural diversity within the Institution, fostering a sense of inclusivity and mutual respect.

Mr. Amarr Prabhu announced the results of recently held safety poster, safety slogan & safety essay competition, this competition was judged by the Safety Department of Godrej and Boyce Vikhroli  & Diwali special Rangoli competition, the winners were felicitated by certificates and prizes 

As the program approached its conclusion, a vote of thanks was delivered by Mr. Mukesh Patil to express gratitude to all participants, organizers, and attendees. The event successfully achieved its goal of bringing trainees, staff and members of management together, fostering cultural understanding, and spreading the message of peace and joy.
